Chiltern Railways start train services from Oxford city centre to London via Bicester, as East West Rail Phase One is complete.

A new organisation will deliver the design, construction and operation of the missing railway link between Oxford and Cambridge, Milton Keynes and Aylesbury.

The Chancellor has announced funding to accelerate delivery of the railway to link Oxford and Cambridge, Milton Keynes and Aylesbury.

Chiltern Railways will start operating train services from Oxford to London Marylebone via Oxford Parkway and Bicester Village on Monday 12th December,

“This corridor is a national asset that competes on the world stage and can fire the British economy,” says Sir John Armitt.

The Secretary of State for Transport has confirmed the Government’s commitment to deliver East West Rail at the earliest opportunity.

Buckinghamshire County Council has bought the land for Winslow Station, which will be served by three new passenger services on the East West Rail line.
